Exeter Airport is boosting its range of holiday routes with tickets on sale today [14th April] for winter sunshine flights to Malaga and Alicante, Chambery in the French Alps and more flights to Geneva operated by Flybe, Europe’s largest regional airline.
From 30th October, Flybe’s new winter timetable will see three scheduled flights a week to both Alicante and Malaga in Spain. And from mid-December there are more seats on the Saturday service to Chambery and an extra two flights a week to Geneva. The recently launched Norwich route also continues through the winter months. Tickets are on sale now at www.flybe.com with one way fares from £17.49 including taxes and charges.
In total, Flybe will operate a choice of 16 routes from Exeter for winter offering a choice of up to 103 flights a week, including a daily service to London City and up to three flights a day to its popular Manchester hub where passengers can seamlessly connect to other Flybe flights or to one of its many codeshare partners to exciting long haul destinations.
The winter sun flights from Exeter are operated by one of Flybe’s E195 118-seater jet aircraft and have been made possible through an innovative partnership between the airline and Regional & City Airports (RCA), the airport management division of Rigby Group PLC, which owns Exeter Airport.
Matt Roach, managing director of Exeter Airport, said: ““The partnership between RCA and Flybe means the sunshine routes have been extended to operate year-round and there are more seats to the popular ski resort of Chambery.
“With increased capacity to Geneva from one to three flights a week and the new year-round Norwich route, Exeter Airport is providing even greater choice for our customers.”
Flybe’s Chief Revenue Officer, Vincent Hodder added: “The diversity of our new winter schedule from Exeter reinforces our commitment to providing customers with the best possible choice of attractive routes for both business and leisure travel. As the lowest possible fares sell out quickly, we would advise customers to book as early as possible to avoid disappointment, especially when looking to travel over peak holiday periods.”
