As the live survey draws to its close in mid June, the research team at the University of Exeter has already started analysing the results, along with data from the commerical Partners.
The results will be publicised over the coming weeks and months and form the basis of Phase 2 of the project later in the year – when we will be working with a number of groups, selected via the survey results, to co-create and test interventions aimed at making a real-time difference in people's everyday journeys to places of work or study.
Get involved – have your say! Be part of the exciting changes as we grapple with this congestion issue and develop the transport networks in a way that works for the local people – the people who use them day in, day out. People like You!
Also come along and speak to us on 15th June 11-3pm at our stall outside Barclays Bank in Bedford Square. Or drop me an email with your views and ideas on this transport issue and we'll add you to our mailing list.
The Engaged Smart Transport project, funded by Innovate UK/NERC and run by commercial specialists in IT, data analytics and infrastructure technology, Devon and Exeter Councils and the University of Exeter, aims to influence real-time decision making about how and when people commute into and across Exeter, to improve the flow across all transport networks.
Alongside the big data collected by the commercial Partners, the University is focusing on why people make the travel choices they do, key factors that affect those choices and interventions most likely to achieve long term changes and a better commute overall.
Working together for a better commute!
