South West public relations consultancy KOR Communications has won a major contract to deliver strategic communications advice and services to an international project which will see electricity flowing between France, the Channel Islands and the UK.

The Exeter-based consultancy is providing communications and engagement support to the FAB Project which aims to build a subsea and underground interconnector linking the French and British national grids.

The cables will run from the Cherbourg peninsula in France to East Devon via the Channel Island of Alderney where they will be connected to a proposed tidal stream power station which will generate renewable energy.

Chris Jenner, Development Manager for the FAB Project, said: “We have chosen to work with KOR because of their understanding and experience of stakeholder engagement within our sector, combined with their local knowledge and contacts.”

Annette Richman, Managing Director at KOR Communications, said: “The FAB Project is incredibly important in securing the nation’s electricity supply in future years and we are working closely with the partnership to support a programme of stakeholder engagement as well as helping to communicate the wider benefits of the project to the general public.”

Another new addition to KOR’s client portfolio is BDS Solutions, specialists in the delivery of high quality IT services, products and software for NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations nationwide.

KOR Communications is supporting the Cullompton-based BDS Solutions with social media, online content, press and marketing materials.

KOR Communications has recently appointed Account Executive, Rosie Workman to the team from her previous role as Marketing and Communications Assistant at the national disability charity, St Loye’s Foundation.

With a background in marketing and a degree in Journalism and English Literature, Rosie is supporting all client accounts both online and offline; producing content for press releases and social media, to managing events and managing databases.
