The Generator Cowork Space has officially launched their second cowork space! The Generator Quay House is located along Exeter's prestigious Quayside. In the Kings Wharf building, The Generator is perfect for those who like the scenic landscape of the Quay.
The Generator offers a range of work solutions to make your work life a little more sociable. Founders of The Generator, Neil Finnie and Jim Strong found working from home can leave you feeling like you have not seen another human face all day. The Generator offers you the ability to rent desk space by the day or by the month, giving freelancers and small companies that chance to be part of a community.
The Generator Quay House offers high-spec coworking space, with superfast internet, glass conference room, great break-out areas and spacious desk space. Starting at £200 (+VAT) per month, you could have access to these features.
On the launch night of The Generator Quay House, Jim Strong and Neil Finnie spoke about how coworking has changed both their personal and professional lives. Coworking as a creative area has found to be beneficial to people who try it, with 70% of people saying they feel healthier, 68% say they are more focused on their work and 60% claiming they are happier at home.
The opening night was attended by existing users and entrepreneurs from the local area, including Harry Black from Yelverton Properties, the new owner of the Kings Wharf building. “I have been looking at this wonderful building for about 20 years and I’ve always loved it,” he said.
“It has the right feel for co-working. Office life is changing, and I have seen Exeter change dramatically over the last 20 or 30 years. My late father used to say Plymouth was the dominant city, but slowly that balance has changed.”
