Entries are now open for the Michelmores Charity 5k Run, which will take place on 8 September 2016 at 6.30pm.
This year Michelmores are aiming to attract a record 1,200 runners, encouraging local people and businesses to get together to celebrate the city of Exeter and to fundraise for Michelmores' local Charity of the Year Balloons, who support bereaved children and their families in Exeter and beyond.
The run takes place over a five-kilometre city centre course starting and finishing on Exeter's Cathedral Green. The route, new for this year, will take in many of Exeter's historic and well-loved landmarks, including Exeter Castle, Southernhay, The Underground Passages, The Guildhall and more.
The event begins at 6pm, with the run starting at 6.30pm. The event will be followed by a prize giving ceremony for the individual runners and the fastest team. There will also be a cash bar provided by Oddfellows Exeter and food stalls by Titley Green and Dan's American Kitchen.
The entry fee per runner is £15 which includes an official Charity Run t-shirt and individual recorded running times.
