Stagecoach South West announced today that, during October, customers can fly the Falcon for just £1.
The £1 Falcon ‘MegaSale’ offer applies to bookings made in advance at megabus.com for travel between 3 and 30 October 2016. Over 5,000 seats are available for just £1 each and customers can choose to travel to Bristol, Bristol Airport, Taunton, Exeter or Plymouth. All bookings are subject to a 50p booking fee and the number of free seats will vary from journey to journey.
The South West Falcon, connecting Devon with Somerset and Bristol, launched in February this year. Online booking with megabus.com launched the following month to help customers plan their journeys – and get the best deals – by booking ahead.
Managing Director of Stagecoach South West, Bob Dennison, commented: “October’s a great month to fly the Falcon and take a day trip or city break in Plymouth, Exeter or Bristol. Of course, half term also falls within October so our £1 offer is ideal for family days out.”
The £1 ‘MegaSale’ offer is only available on the megabus.com website. Over 5,000 seats are available for £1 each (+50p booking fee). Alternatively, customers can still ‘turn up and go’ at the bus stop and buy their ticket direct from the driver in cash at the normal price. For regular commuters, season tickets are available online at swfalcon.com and from their driver.
Customers can also follow the Falcon on Twitter @flyswfalcon. As well as service update news, the account features exclusive news and offers for Falcon customers.
Stagecoach launched the South West Falcon on 14 February. The eight brand new Falcon coaches represent a £2.5 million investment by Stagecoach. All feature free Wi-Fi as well as air conditioning, leather seats and charging sockets. The Falcon runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.1
