Entries now open for the Michelmores Property Awards 2017

Entries are now open for the 15th annual Michelmores Property Awards, which showcase and celebrate the very best of the South West's property and construction industry.  

Michelmores is calling upon property developers, building contractors, architects and other industry professionals to nominate buildings, projects and businesses from across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bristol and Dorset across ten categories.

For the 2017 awards, there are five new categories, including Commercial Project of the Year, Public Project of the Year, Education Project of the Year, and Leisure & Hospitality Project of the Year, The John Laurence Special Contribution Award.

Additional categories include, Building of the Year, Heritage Project of the Year, Sustainable Project of the Year, Residential Project of the Year 41 Units and Over and Residential Project of the Year 40 Units and Under.

Emma Honey, Partner and Head of Real Estate at Michelmores, said:  

“These awards demonstrate the high calibre South West property industry, and we look forward to celebrating the impressive projects that have come to life across the region.

“This year, we have introduced a number of new award categories to reflect the great variety of projects we have seen take shape in 2016 – and we hope to receive a record number of award entries again this year.”

Previous winning entries have included schools, sport centres, universities, offices, heritage attractions and new housing developments, such as The Science Park Centre in Exeter, Atlantic View Lodges in Cornwall, Quadrant Quay in Plymouth, and EDF's Energy Training Centre in Cannington, Somerset.

The deadline for entries is Friday 10 February 2017. The awards shortlist will be announced in March 2017 and the winners will be revealed at an awards dinner on Friday 15 June 2017, at The University of Exeter.
