Working in partnership with Interior Designer Naomi Cleaver, Burrington Estates, Wilkinson Grant and Attention Media, YMCA Exeter have launched their brand new ‘Changing Rooms, Changing Lives’ campaign.
YMCA Exeter provides over 18,000 nights of accommodation every year for young people who are facing homelessness. Whether they have experienced neglect, domestic violence or a family breakdown, we are passionate about equipping them with the tools they need to achieve economic independence and to contribute positively to society. Over 50 young people currently call YMCA Exeter their home and through the project, it is our vision to completely renovate the current bland and unhomely communal living space at our St David’s Hill accommodation centre so that the centre truly becomes a transformational and nurturing community hub.
Work begins at the St David’s Hill accommodation centre on April 3rd and we are inviting fellow Exeter Chamber members to be involved with our ambitious renovation so that the project is the success it deserves to be.
We are particularly looking for contractors within the building industry as well as businesses who specialise in anything from kitchens and carpets to audio and furniture. Are you able to donate your product or your service free of charge towards our renovation? Perhaps you are able to pledge a cash donation? Or, maybe you can connect us with a contact of yours who is able to help?
If so, please email [email protected] or ring 01392 410530. You can find out more about the project at www.ymcaexeter.org.uk/changing-rooms and you can donate to our Crowdfunding page at https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/YMCAChangingRooms.
