Leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, is delighted to announce that Haines Watts Chartered Accountants has joined its successful specialist clinic scheme.

The specialist clinic scheme enables Citizens Advice clients to access free advice from local law firms and other specialists. Haines Watts will be providing clients with specialist tax advice, and related issues.

Citizens Advice Chief Executive Steve Barriball said: “We are delighted that Haines Watts will be joining our specialist clinic scheme. This has proved very popular with clients who are otherwise unable to afford the fees. We are particularly delighted to secure the services of Haines Watts as we regularly see clients, including the self-employed, who need specialist advice on tax issues.”

Ben de Cruz, managing partner at Haines Watts said: “Many clients approach Citizens Advice with pressing and sometimes difficult tax problems, including people who are on low incomes. These can be simple or quite complex matters, but they are often distressing to the individuals concerned. It is important that people can access sound professional advice without the worry of having to pay for it. We look forward to assisting Citizens Advice Exeter and help them with their invaluable work with the local community.”

Haines Watts will be joining Michelmores LLP, Veitch Penny LLP, The Family Law Company, Cartridges Law, Pension Wise and MoneyPlan who already support the specialist clinic scheme.

Citizens Advice clients can access the specialist clinic scheme through the usual Citizens Advice Exeter service.
