Are you keen to find out how you can support the growth of a more sustainable economy and society?

Would you like your business to join the global community of certified B Corps?

University of Exeter's One Planet MBA team have paired up with B Lab UK to host an evening of conversations on the role of business in creating a more sustainable and inclusive economy.

Thursday 29th June, 17.30-19.30, University of Exeter Business School

“Impact Conversations: University of Exeter hosts B Corps” – is designed to  inspire businesses, individuals, consultants, advisors,  as well as entrepreneurs  with the concept of profit with purpose companies.   There will be a discussion  about the B Corp  movement and the process of certifying as a B Corp to join a fast growing global movement of companies using business as a force for good.  Two B Corps will present their business to the audience.

We'd recommend this event to:

– Businesses interested in profit with purpose
–  Local authorities that seek to support businesses in the South West
– Academics and students interested in how to incorporate profit with purpose into your curriculum
– Consultants interested in how you can support purposeful businesses
– anyone interested in finding out more about sustainable business

What is the B Corp movement?

The UK B Corp movement is a growing community of for profit businesses who are using the power of entrepreneurship to tackle social and environmental issues. B Corps are certified to meet rigorous standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.  There are now 139 certified B COrps in the UK and 2167 across the globe.  Together they form a powerful showcase of how to use business as a force for good.

Sign up is here: we'd be delighted to see companies from the area at the event, and help build a local community of B Corps in the South West area.
