Big name businesses from across Exeter will be on the lookout for new employees at Exeter Jobs Fair on Friday, September 15.

Hosted by Exeter City Council, businesses including Ikea, Toys R Us, EDF Energy, Sitel, JD Wetherspoons and Tesco will be meeting candidates and discussing job opportunities from 9:30am until 2:00pm at Exeter Corn Exchange.

Run in partnership with Jobcentre Plus, there will also be a host of local businesses looking for their ideal team members, as well as information on apprenticeship schemes and graduate opportunities.

Cllr Rachel Sutton, Lead Councillor for Economy & Culture said: “It’s fantastic that so many businesses have registered for the Exeter Jobs Fair on 15 September.  With companies in industries ranging from catering to construction and retail to recruitment, there really is something for every candidate, whatever your qualifications, experience or interests”.

Leon Searle, Employer Adviser at Exeter Jobcentre added: “Exeter is a thriving city for businesses and offers numerous and diverse employment opportunities for the people of Exeter and the surrounding area. Exeter Jobcentre is very excited to be working with Exeter City Council in what will be a very big and successful Jobs Fair.”

Exeter has the fourth fastest growing economy in the UK and the city has an extremely high employment rate. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates to get directly in front of employers and make that first impression count.

As well as the big-name companies, there will also be information on jobs from local businesses, one or two-man bands and start-ups, which will appeal to people looking for all sorts of roles.

Free to attend, there is no need for candidates to book a place. Job seekers are welcome to arrive from 9:30am

Whether you are looking for a change of career, need a temporary role over the Christmas period, are looking for your first job or are currently out of work, the range of roles on offer is so diverse; everyone is welcome.
