Top 30 advisory firm, Bishop Fleming, has been named Large Practice of the Year at the UK's Practice Excellence Awards held in London on 19 October.

The firm, with 7 offices spanning from the West Midlands to the South West, delivers accounting, tax, corporate, restructuring and advisory services to businesses and private wealth advice to individuals. This last year has seen the firm's turnover rise by over 12 per cent to £22m.

Bishop Fleming secured the Practice Excellence Award against stiff competition from across the country as a result of its significant growth in client advisory work, its development of new and innovative products and services, and for being identified by The Sunday Times as one of the best companies in the UK to work for.

Bishop Fleming's Managing Partner, Matthew Lee, commented: “I'm delighted that we have won this prestigious award. It is a recognition of the firm's proven track record of commercial success and growth, and reflects the wealth of talent within the firm.”

Over the past week the firm's people have been engaged in online Practice Excellence workshops on such diverse topics as GDPR, tax, and marketing. The firm recently celebrated 12 of its existing people qualifying as Chartered Accountants.

Mr. Lee explained: “Our ongoing employee training and development programmes ensure our people have the best skills to enable them to deliver exceptional service to clients.”

The Practice Excellence award is the third award this year for Bishop Fleming, having also secured Corporate Deal of the Year at the 2017 Business Leader Awards, and the Business Growth Award for its payroll team.

The firm is also celebrating leaping up the charts of the accountancy league tables to be ranked 30th in the country.

Matthew Lee said: “These awards and our ranking reflect our strengthening team and are a recognition of how we help our clients to achieve their full potential. We continually invest in new talent, and we are always looking to expand our team even further.”
