Two top London-based investors have run seminars for independent financial advisors (IFAs) in Truro, Plymouth, Exeter and Taunton.

Harry Richards of Jupiter Asset Management and Fiona Harris of JP Morgan’s US equity income fund spent two days in the South West, talking to around 70 regional experts. The four events – each of which lasted two hours – were organised by wealth management company Brewin Dolphin.

“This is a critical time for the markets as shares are at an all-time high and interest rates are rising,” said Brewin Dolphin Business Development Manager Philip Thitchener. “That’s why these seminars were so important and why their timing couldn’t have been more perfect.

“Between them Harry and Fiona manage nearly three quarters of a trillion pounds in their funds, which are widely held in Brewin Dolphin portfolios of the clients of IFAs attending. The four sessions provided an ideal opportunity to ask questions and get valuable information first-hand”, added Thitchener.

The venues for the four workshops were The Alverton Manor in Truro, Boringdon Hall in Plymouth, Sandy Park Conference and Banqueting Hall in Exeter and Mount Somerset Hotel & Spa in Taunton.
