Invitation to Visit Exmouth Lifeboat House

We at Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat House would like to invite you and your fellow members to an informal reception and tour at the Exmouth RNLI Lifeboat House to take place at the Lifeboat House Queens Drive Exmouth EX8 2AY on Thursday 15th March 6:30pm. The reception will be an opportunity for your business group to find out more about the opportunities for community use of Exmouth Lifeboat House.

The RNLI is seeking to encourage Exeter businesses and other organisations to book tours of the Lifeboat House including our two lifeboats. Private tours are free and are conducted by experienced volunteers and, whenever possible, members of the crew. Private visitors are often given the opportunity to view parts of the All Weather Boat, and the boathouse, which public tours for operational reasons do not.

Some businesses and organisations have used these private visits to form the basis of a social or team-building event and we have had very positive feedback from organisations that have used us for such events.

The RNLI, as a wholly publicly funded charity, has two main objectives in offering these visits.  Firstly, we strongly believe that the public, who support and pay for our work, should be able to view the facilities they fund and hear about the work that we do, especially from a crew member’s perspective. Secondly, we seek to promote vital sea safety messages that are so important for all those that live near or use the sea. Therefore, private tours are entirely free and place no commitment on the visiting organisation including this reception.

We hope you are interested and will respond to this email  to register your interest in attending this event on the 15th March or if you would like any further information. Please do not phone the Lifeboat Station.
