Exeter Racecourse’s new social media campaign will have followers reaching for the carrots and wondering wherever next as Peter Rabbit embarks on a journey from the Lake District to Devon in time for Family Day on April 8.
With the film Peter Rabbit recently opening in cinemas across the UK, and the main character from the film, Peter, visiting the racecourse on Family Day it’s #followtheracingrabbit campaign will see a cuddly version making appearance at famous venues up and down the country.
Followers have the chance to win tickets if they guess the following day’s destination correctly. There’s everything in the mix, from famous horses, to racecourses and some special stops for rest and recuperation along the way too.
General manager Jack Parkinson, who came up with the project, said: “It’s been a lot of fun getting all the images and videos. Peter has stopped off at some iconic places. It’s been a busy few weeks. We hope people will really engage with this, and join in with guessing where Peter will be next. Family Day is a really great day out, and what’s more its packed with entertainment which is all free for kids, with two pre-booked adult tickets just £15.”
Search Exeter Racecourse on Facebook and join in with Peter Rabbit’s shenanigans everyday, and keep an eye out for an encounter with a very famous racehorse that decided to leap over him.
