300 guests attended local charity Hospiscare’s fundraising dinner at the University of Exeter last week when speaker Rob Baxter, the Director of Rugby at Exeter Chiefs, gave a hugely entertaining talk on ‘Maximising Potential’ and how he gets the best out of his squad of players.

The evening included a very well supported auction and raffle, which resulted in more than £24,000 being raised for the Exeter-based charity, which cares for 2,500 patients each year in East and Mid Devon who are living with a terminal illness.

Richard Cousins, Hospiscare’s Corporate Relationships Manager, said “it was a fascinating evening and everyone at Hospiscare is very grateful to Rob for giving up his time and supporting our charity so well”.

The event was sponsored by Thompson Jenner LLP and Servicemaster Clean, with additional support provided by Westerly BMW and Event Exeter.
