Cartridges Law are celebrating after scooping a top award in the Devon and Somerset Law Society Legal Awards.
Now in their third year, the DASLS awards recognise the contribution that law firms make to local communities and the economy. There were 12 awards up for grabs in categories that included Team of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Award and Legal Hero of the Year.
Cartridges Law’s Admin Support team, Vivien Cocks and Emilia Stachowska beat off stiff competition to win the award for Support Team Member of the Year.
Penny Scott, partner at Cartridges Law, said: ‘We are absolutely thrilled that Vivien and Emilia have won this award. We are incredibly proud of our team at Cartridges Law, who work so hard to deliver outstanding legal support to our clients. This is fantastic recognition for them and all their extraordinary efforts.
‘We are particularly pleased because the awards specifically seek to give recognition to law firms who make a significant contribution to their local communities, and our location in St Thomas, Exeter is very important to us – helping the local community is at the heart of everything we do, through our charity work with Budding Friends and supporting local initiatives like The Boat Shed.’
Cartridges Law were also finalists for the awards for the Law Firm (1-10 partners) and in the Employer of the Year category.
The DASLS awards were held at the Riviera Centre in Torquay and were hosted by Mark Tyler. Former England rugby player Mike Tindall MBE was the special guest for the evening and gave an after-dinner speech.
