If you, or someone you know, are up for a challenge, enjoy meeting people, and are passionate about injustice you may be interested in volunteering for Citizens Advice Exeter. Our volunteers say the things they enjoy are, “giving something back to society”, “learning”, and “the rewards of seeing individual lives changed”.

We are currently recruiting for Advice Workers, Gateway Assessors and Information Guides.  Advice workers volunteer 8 to 10 hours per week providing advice on a range of topics including debt, benefits, housing and employment. Gateway Assessors volunteer for 8 hours per week carrying out short interviews with clients both face to face and over the phone on our Adviceline service.  Information Guides work in our reception for 3 hours per week and are the first point of contact for clients who come into our office.

We will be holding a Recruitment Fair on Wednesday 19th September at 2pm. This will be your opportunity to find out more about Citizens Advice and what it is like to volunteer with us from those currently doing so.
