South West Communications Group picked up two awards at the Comms National Awards 2018, run by Comms Dealer magazine.
Shortlisted for three at the start of the evening on Thursday, swcomms won the Best Enterprise Cloud Solution award and was named as the runner-up in both the Best Enterprise Vertical Market Solution category and the Customer Service Award.
swcomms was also announced as the Enterprise Reseller of the Year. This award cannot be entered as the recipient is selected by the judging panel in response to all the entries.
Managing director Brian Lodge said: “Needless to say, we are delighted with both awards and for making the finals of the other two. The reseller one is particularly pleasing as it reflects on our business as a whole.
“This is the first time we have won the Enterprise Reseller of the Year award at the Comms National Awards on the back of delivering several truly multi-faceted solutions that use all the services and products we offer to large businesses.
“We cannot deliver these solutions without the expertise and dedication of our staff. From sales to project management through to engineers, support and back office staff, I am incredibly proud of what we have achieved.”
The Enterprise Cloud entry was based on a solution delivered to The Bradfords Group that included a cloud-based wide area network to link their 50 sites across the UK to swcomms’ data centre where their 800-user telephone system and servers are hosted and managed. swcomms also upgraded the local area networks and installed easy-to-manage Wi-Fi solutions at all the branches. In addition, Bradfords also enjoys a bespoke support programme.
Last night’s awards are the fifth and sixth awards swcomms has won so far this year. The Exeter-based business was also named among the Business of the Year finalists this week for the Western Morning News Business Awards 2018.
