Marsh Barton Barclays branch to close – but we’re still here to help

By January 24, 2019January 26th, 2021Member News & Updates, Why Exeter blog

On Thursday 18th April 2019 Barclays will be closing our branch at Marsh Barton. Our lease on the property at Marsh Barton has come to an end and you may already be aware that the site is now undergoing a major redevelopment, as such, we will be vacating the branch premises on Thursday 18th April 2019.

This closure means our nearest Barclays branch is located at 3 Bedford Street, Exeter.  Everyday transactions, typically carried out over branch counters (including paying in a cheque or depositing cash), can also be completed at any Post Office including those in Alphington, St Thomas and Ide.

Please be assured that we are committed to adhering to the UK Access to Banking Standard.  All of our customers will receive a letter, our decision to close document and posters will be displayed in branch and colleagues will be on hand to assist customers with any concerns they may have.  We will be proactively engaging with local businesses and the wider community to discuss the alternative ways customers will be able to undertake their banking locally, before the branch closes on Thursday 18th April 2019.
