Guests who attended the Young Enterprise ‘next generation’ Business Event last Wednesday kindly hosted by Stephens Scown LLP at their offices in Southernhay West were inspired by presentations from Louise Fellows, YE Chair and Director (Public Sector) UK&I at VMware, Tom Whelan, Co-Founder  of AquaPhysical, and Antony Jinman, Polar Explorer and Founder of the Educational Platform LikeToBe.

All three speakers shared their respective fascinating career journey’s with the audience, highlighting the resilience, self-confidence and determination which had been integral to their individual achievements.

Student teams participating in the Company Programme were on hand to talk to the guests about the products they had developed and their experiences/opportunities  of doing the programme.  The event culminated with a Business Card Draw, prizes kindly contributed by the Mercure Hotel, The Golf and Country Club, l’Occitane, Carluccio’s, and Devon Roly Fudge. It was a great opportunity meet new and existing supporters, and to highlight to the business community how Young Enterprise supports students from schools and colleges in developing business acumen, and financial literacy.

Our sincere thanks to  all of the team at Stephens Scown for their wonderful hospitality.  Young Enterprise are now looking to attract some new supporters to help with Company Programme and our one day programmes. If you would like to learn more about supporting Young Enterprise please contact Marian Weston, YE Area Manager on 07817 408434.
