Libraries Unlimited, the charity responsible for the running of Devon and Torbay's libraries, is seeking two new independent trustees with one or more of the following areas of expertise: fundraising, senior leadership within the health sector, commercial, ICT/digital and finance.
Libraries Unlimited is one of Arts Council England’s National Portfolio Organisations (NPO), the first public sector library mutual to expand its reach by securing an additional contract and are recognised nationally as a leading library service provider. In 2018, the charity was named one of Nesta and the Observer's New Radicals, recognising their work in changing society for the better.
The Board of trustees is headed up by Professor Will Harvey, Associate Dean of Research & Impact at the University of Exeter Business School.
Successful applicants will be interested in the impact and value that modern public libraries can play within local communities and will have a strong commitment to the role that the organisation can play in promoting diversity and inclusion.
