Exeter Phoenix is delighted to be welcoming presenter of Springwatch Gillian Burke to the city this month. Gillian Burke will spend an evening at the city-centre arts venue taking audience members behind the scenes on one of the nation’s favourite wildlife shows.

Her talk will take the audience on a tour of conservation projects around the UK, from rare ladybird spiders in Dorset to beaver re-introduction projects in Cornwall. The evening will focus on some of the most uplifting moments and examples Gillian has come across whilst filming Springwatch.

At a time when news about environmental issues can seem overwhelming, this event promises an evening of inspiration about these surprising oases of hope.

This talk is presented as part of Exeter Phoenix’s partnership with the Royal Geographical Society (with IBG)’s Lecture Series, offering insightful and interesting talks about a broad range of subjects.

Gillian Burke will appear at Exeter Phoenix on Thursday 11th June at 8pm. Tickets cost £12, or £10 to RGS members.

Tickets can be purchased at the venue’s box office, by calling 01392 667080 or online here:
