Stephens Scown have joined forces with Bluegrass, a leading IT service provider in the South West, to form a company that offers both the technical and legal knowledge required to deliver data protection and information security solutions – that company is called nuBright.

nuBright’s first offering, training, is delivered online via a bespoke platform in a short series of engaging videos and verified by a quiz. The training covers information security and data protection – two areas which are high risk for all businesses (and the Information Commissioners Office require all employees to undertake some form of data protection training). Combining the knowledge of Stephens Scown and Bluegrass, the training has been developed specifically to address high risk and common issues such as password security and how to spot a breach.

The training is designed to:

  • Reduce the risk of a breach due to human error (the most common cause of breaches);
  • Protect reputation;
  • Raise awareness of information security and data protection among staff;
  • Be accessible at all levels, with quick and straightforward videos;
  • Provide evidence of completion for your record keeping – every successful user receives a certificate of completion and you have a matching record.

The training is designed to be used on the basis that the business has the correct plans, policies and procedures in place. Stephens Scown and Bluegrass can advise further on this point if necessary.

There is a one off setup cost of £60 and fees are then calculated on a per user basis (and the more users you have, the less each user costs) – the standard price per user is £7 for each module (data protection or cyber security) or £12 per user for both modules (all prices are subject to VAT). Licences last for 12 months from the date of issue.
