The Exeter City Supporters Trust staged its first 5-a-side football competition on Sunday 30th June.  Held at the football club’s Clifford Hill Training Ground, 8 teams, representing corporate members of the Supporters Trust, competed for a trophy.  Girling Jones were the eventual winners, defeating Austin and Hobbs 4-0 in the final.

The trophy was presented by Nick Hawker, Chairman of the Trust (pictured).

The football club itself was represented by its commercial team whilst other competitors included Willmott Dixon, Arque, Grange Architects, WSP and WA Consultants.

The Supporters Trust were represented by Trustees and Exeter City FC Club Directors Elaine Davis and Clive Harrison.  The competition itself was the idea of corporate member Matt Moore of Girling Jones, to whom the Trust are extremely grateful.  Match officials and event assistants were provided by the Exeter City Community Trust.

Exeter City are one of only 4 EFL football clubs to be truly supporter owned and have membership schemes for both individuals and businesses.  If you’d like to find out more or become a member then please, get in touch.  We’d love to hear from you!
