Last night, Thursday 29th August, saw the launch of Greater Exeter’s newest initiative supporting and encouraging local trade. Over 120 people from businesses in and around Exeter gathered at Hotel du Vin to network and find out how Tribe can help improve the way businesses within our city work together.
Full of community spirit and welcome drink in hand, attendees explored the marketplace stalls from Hutch, Binit, Wide Eye Communiations, Hostcomm, The Belt Makers, South West Communications, Astley Media, Mantis, Chococo and Tozers, before listening to inspiring speeches from Owen Richards (Managing Director of Air Marketing Group), Ben Bradshaw (Exeter MP) and Ann Hunter (BID Manager of InExeter).
Astley Media took the opportunity to record the next Tribe podcast – speaking to local businesses about why they’ve chosen to partner with Tribe. Listen to their first podcast in the collection here: project-tribe.co.uk/podcasts
On the night, all who signed the pledge to switch at least one of their non-local providers to one based locally in the next few months, were entered into a raffle to win a beautiful Devon Heaven hamper of local goods and a £50.00 InExeter Gift Card.
An amazing 69 businesses have signed this incredible pledge so far! We can’t wait to see the positive impact that this will have on Greater Exeter’s economic growth.
