Exeter Cathedral Business Community Carols 10th Anniversary
Remarkably, it is now 10 years since Richard Jacobs, of EIC Group, first suggested the idea of this special service, an occasion that is now firmly established in our calendar. It is my very great pleasure to join Richard in inviting you to our annual carol service for the business community and their families. Invitations are extended to senior managers and directors of many local companies – if you know of anyone who might like to come please do not hesitate to make contact and we will forward an invitation to them also.
This years’ Service will take place in the Quire on the 23rd of December at 6.30pm, followed by mince pies and mulled wine. Please let us know how many are coming on the enclosed reply slip.
Richard has worked tirelessly to bring everyone together and encouraged sponsorship and support for the cathedral throughout the intervening ten years for many of our important projects. We would like to extend our very grateful thanks to all the businesses who have sponsored a Cathedral event or given a corporate donation. In addition, we would like to thank Bonhams, Amicus Law, Exeter Finance and Ashfords for their contribution to help cover the costs of this year’s event.
There will be a retiring collection, with all donations supporting the forthcoming Cathedral appeal to support the conservation and refurbishment of the Chapter House. Please give what you can as every contribution makes a difference and helps us to pass on the Cathedral in better condition to those who come after us.
I do hope you will join us on the 23th, Richard and I look forward to welcoming you.
With best wishes
The Very Rend Jonathan Greener
Dean of Exeter Cathedral
