Exeter Area Rotary Showcase: Coronavirus Update

Please read the following message from District Governor Simon Wood.

It is clear from the general medical advice that we are edging closer to a situation of increased contamination by the Coronavirus  (COVID 19) during the coming days and weeks. The likliehood of infection for those most at risk increases exponentially. Elderly members of the community, with underlying health conditions (diabetes and heart disease) are most at risk.

While every effort has been made to insure the safety of the general public  who will visit  the Plymouth and Exeter Showcases it is impossible to eliminate the risk  and since it is imperative that Rotary continues its leadership role in the community and acts responsibly it is reluctantly cancelling its two forthcoming indoor events namely this coming Friday 13th March at Staddon Heights Golf Club in Plymouth, and at the Rougemont Hotel, Queen St, Exeter on Friday March 20th.

The two outdoor Regional Showcase events in Torquay and Bideford on the 14th and 21st March respectively will still go ahead. Every effort will be made to reschedule the events later in the spring.
