Drive Creative Studio creates e-learning promotional animation for client in response to Covid-19 lock-down

Drive Creative Studio has created an exciting explainer animation in response to Covid-19 for OrcaNation, a Singapore-based PADI 5-star scuba instruction and education centre.

During the 2020 lock-down, it has been clear that many people were feeling as if the walls were closing in on them, so businesses have quickly needed to innovate and change their models to meet this new worldwide ‘norm’, also offering consumers new ways of escapism. In response, OrcaNation launched a series of e-learning programmes, enabling budding scuba divers to choose from a selection of PADI courses that can be started right now, from home. When the lock-down is lifted, they can put their certificate to work and certify in the open ocean.

With locations across Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore, and working with many schools, OrcaNation is dedicated to offering scuba diving experiences and educational programmes with an emphasis on safety, quality and the preservation of our oceans. It was founded by Jeroen van de Waal, who is the author of Together We Can Turn Tides, a manifesto about our oceans for which Drive previously produced an emotive animated companion video.

The resulting character-led, upbeat video introduces OrcaNation’s innovative new e-learning courses internationally, with social media marketing campaign assets created to further create awareness. All illustration and animation were completed by Drive to create this informative yet distinctively charming explainer video, and the Drive team are already working on their next project with OrcaNation.
