A divorce lawyer from the South West has been celebrated for providing exemplary client service and supporting her clients through the coronavirus pandemic.
Liz Allen, a senior consultant at Stephens Scown LLP, has been recognised as one of the Top 100 Private Client Lawyers in international private client and wealth management, according to the rankings released by leading wealth management publication Citywealth magazine.
One of the hallmarks of a great private client lawyer is their ability to provide great client service, including the all-important soft skills. Never have these skills been put to the test quite so much as during the coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, this year’s Citywealth research process to select the list of Top 100 Private Client Lawyers included asking entrants how they had gone above and beyond for their clients during the pandemic.
One of the comments about Liz gathered by Citywealth from satisfied clients states: “My divorce was conducted during Covid-19, so I have never met Liz, but from our first phone call I was impressed with her ability to understand me, my situation, and explain possible outcomes in a frank and honest manner… she, and her exemplary team, have exceeded my expectations by securing my, and my son’s, long term financial security and enabled me to move on with my life in a positive way.”
Andrew Barton, head of Stephens Scown’s Family team in the firm’s Exeter Office, who is also recognised as part of Citywealth’s Leaders List for his “calming and reassuring approach to hugely evocative circumstances,” comments: “As well as having a wealth of legal knowledge, Liz cares deeply about her clients. Recognition on an international scale like this is a fitting celebration of the vital role she has played both for her clients during Covid and throughout her career.”
South West-based Stephens Scown is an award-winning legal firm and was the first large law firm to become employee owned. The firm’s family law team is the only one to be ranked in Tier One by both Chambers & Partners and Legal 500 for both Devon and Cornwall.
