Cobalt: We’ve won a national award for innovation!

The comms industry was tested like never before as the pandemic hit the nation. Demand for our services went through the roof as people moved to remote working and, for many businesses, that wasn’t the only challenge. Companies, particularly with personal services, had to close and find new ways to support their customer base.

Our customer, Vetlink are a great example of this. Having a consultation for your pet over video would have been unthinkable in 2019, yet a few months later, this was the only option.

Through technology, we helped businesses like Vetlink to thrive during exceptional circumstances.

This is why we were so pleased when we scooped the Best Reseller Innovation award at the prestigious 2021 National Comms Awards.

Held in the famed ballroom of the Hilton, Park Lane in London’s Mayfair, the awards; hosted by dancer and television presenter Anton Du Beke really are the gold standard for the communication Industry.

Speaking about the award, Director, Ian Dunstan said ‘I can’t tell you how proud I am of everyone who has helped us to this point. We test new technology the moment it emerges and had to use everything in our armoury last year. It was very rewarding to help our customers through what could have been a very difficult period, and more so, to see our team rise to the challenge time and time again. This is a huge achievement for us all and words cannot express how pleased we are.’

Director, Jim Taylor added “the great man of comms Steve Jobs once said, ‘Innovation is the ability to see change as an opportunity’ and we certainly heeded those words in our business recently. As others struggled through, we were perfectly positioned for the challenges that the pandemic bought us, in fact, our drive to innovate for our customers helped them grow and therefore helped us grow. Our customers helped keep the country running last year. One customer, a courier franchise, grew from 15 to 45 branches, and have just opened in Spain, France and Germany”.
