Princesshay invites applications for its 2022/23 Charity of the Year

Princesshay is inviting charities to apply to become its Charity of the Year for 2022 – 2023. From April 2022, the chosen Charity of the Year will be able to use Princesshay’s busy outdoor event space to fundraise to visitors throughout the year. The charity partner also benefits from money raised from centre led fundraising and events plus promotion through Princesshay’s social media channels and website.

Over the last decade, Princesshay has partnered a different local charity each year, helping them raise much needed funds and awareness of the services they operate in the community raising over £100,000.

Throughout 2021, Princesshay partnered with Families for Children to help fundraise for the charity’s work finding new adoptive families to give children stable and loving homes. This has included donating 25% of sales from the recent Santa’s Lodge.

Michelle Menezes, Princesshay Centre Manager said, “We were delighted to have been able to support Families for Children and raise awareness of the amazing work they do. We would encourage any local charity, regardless of their size, to apply to become our Charity of the Year. Supporting a local charity is important to the Princesshay team and we’re excited to hear from any charity that is interested in becoming our new partner.”

Antonia Poole, Families for Children Fundraising Manager said, “Families for Children are delighted to have been Princesshay’s most recent nominated charity 2020/2021.  We support adopted children who have suffered from early life trauma and have waited the longest in care; we help enable them to thrive.  We have really enjoyed our relationship with Princesshay and are very grateful for the vital funds.”

Applications are now open. Charities can nominate themselves via the Princesshay website
