Exeter Phoenix are thrilled to be launching Bloom 2022 – a one-day festival for mental health awareness week, set to take place on Sunday 8th May 2022. Bloom aims to celebrate mental wellbeing, encourage openness around mental health, platform advocates in our community, and showcase the arts as a powerful tool for wellness.
As part of our planning and as an opportunity to speak with the wider community, we’d like to invite you to join us for a Think-In on Wednesday 2nd February (You can choose to attend one of two sessions between 10am and 11.30am, and 5.30pm and 7pm).
These are free, public meetings with the Bloom team to discuss ways in which we can successfully platform our mental health stories and experiences, provide a space for mindful creativity, and what our local community would like to see this year. These will be spaces to share experiences, make suggestions, and flag anything you would like us to take into consideration when planning this year’s festival. We will also be looking for input on provoking questions for two panel discussions we are planning for the day around community and creativity in mental health support.
From photography to yoga, poetry to panel discussions – we can’t wait to let you know what we’ve already got planned! Pop this date in your diary and keep an eye on our pages to make sure you’re involved!
This year we are generously supported by Iron Mill College and The Exeter (www.the-exeter.com).
