Take 5 to have your say on the evening economy in Exeter

InExeter announces partnership with Night Time Economy Solutions

InExeter is putting the spotlight on the night time economy in Exeter by conducting an in-depth review of the city’s services, safety and vibrancy between the hours of 5pm to 5am.

Take 5 minutes to complete the online survey and have your view on Exeter’s night time economy. https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/exeternighttimesurvey (and be in with the chance of winning a £50 independent gift card!).

The business improvement district has instructed night time consultancy specialists, Night Time Economy Solutions, to complete the intensive review based on stakeholder and community engagement of the city at night.

The review is conducted in four stages including a public and stakeholder consultation, online surveys and focus groups, data analysis and an overnight audit of the city centre focusing on policy, operations, user experience and place management. The results of the review will be compiled into a comprehensive night time economy strategy to develop Exeter city centre at night.

Matt Jarratt, Chair of Best Bar Non and InExeter Director notes, ‘Exeter’s evening and leisure offer is growing. We want to better understand the user experiences of the night time in Exeter and feedback via the surveys and focus groups will help us focus discussion, better invest in services and improvements and respond to customers. Initiatives like Best Bar None which ensure venues are committed to customer safety and wellbeing are part of this commitment to making a safe, accessible and hugely enjoyable experience for all.’

It is intended that the outcome of the review will help focus investment in streetscape improvements, events and street art, better facilities and positive celebration of the evening economy.

To drive forward the night time economy strategy, a partnership group will be created and see stakeholders from various sectors of city centre sit together to drive forward Exeter’s night time economy development.
