Do you have to think about security of your workforce, visitors or the general public?

We have joined forces with CST to hold a Security Awareness Seminar here at Buckfast Abbey Conference Centre on 16th and 17th February 2023.
It is such a great idea for anyone who has to deal with the general public in their line of work, or on a personal level just being aware of the signs, may save lives.
The SAFE Programme was established in 2019 to help communities in the UK to access relevant security advice. SAFE shares the CST’s security knowledge with groups that are vulnerable to violence, extremism or hate crime.

  • With guest keynote speakers such as Figen Murray OBE – Figen’s son, Martyn Hett, was one of the 22 people killed in the devastating Manchester Arena terrorist attack. Figen is the force behind Martyn’s Law – the Protect Duty – which will impact counter-terrorism awareness and planning for Publicly Accessible Locations.
  • Also speaking is Detective Superintendent Craig McWhinnie, Head of Counter Terrorism Policing South West.

It is a FREE event but we are asking people to book as places are limited. Arrive at 8.45am ready for 9am start. Thursday closes at 4pm Friday closes at 4.30pm.
