Land with consent for 17 homes sold to developer

Vickery Holman’s commercial agency team have recently completed the sale of a parcel of land near Truro to St Austell based developers, Gilbert & Goode.

The site comprises approximately 3 acres of previously undeveloped residential land on the outskirts of Truro at Threemilestone, which was sold with planning consent for a mix of 17 open market and affordable homes.

‘We’re delighted that Gilbert & Goode have purchased the land and that it should provide a mix of homes for the local community. We’re looking forward to seeing the new development begin to take shape over the next few months.’ Comments Alan Treloar, Director of Agency at Vickery Holman. ‘Land with consent is in short supply so we’re interested in talking to landowners looking to sell in 2023. The market for land in Cornwall is holding up despite the headwinds so we’re optimistic for the year. We are getting the impression that developers are looking ahead to when the economic factors begin to return to some kind of normality and don’t want to be caught without a pipeline of product later in the year and into 2024.’

Craig Rowe, Senior Development Manager at Gilbert & Goode adds ‘It is always great to work with Vickery Holman, and we could not be more delighted to have secured this site in such a sought after location in Cornwall. We are delighted to have commenced 2023 with our latest land acquisition, and with the continued demand for new-build housing across the region, cannot wait to bring forward this exciting new development’.

The land was sold at an undisclosed figure.
