Leading Exeter-based niche commercial law firm, Bertram Fairbanks welcomed c.50 guests to the exciting new ‘Property Party Launch’ held at their spacious offices at Belvedere House at Pynes Hill.

The launch event was led by Julia Knight, Partner & Head of Commercial Property who joined the expanding Bertram Fairbanks team earlier this year.  Qualifying in the South East in 2005, Julia trained and worked at specialist commercial firms, before relocating to Devon in 2009. With twenty years of experience, she advises clients on all aspects of commercial property work ranging from sole traders to large corporate entities.  Dealing with sales and acquisitions, secured lending, refinancing, and lease work and all it entails, Julia has expertise in advising charities and pension funds in property transactions and the specific requirements that must be met.

Julia Knight Head of Commercial Property says: “I have specialised in property my whole working life and am delighted to be part of the expanding Bertram Fairbanks team who share the same values as me.  As a firm, we are client-led, not target-led and the client really does come first.  We are a niche commercial law firm based in the heart of Exeter’s thriving business community specialising in Property, Commercial, and Litigation and actively recruiting new people.”

Guest speakers were Dan Routcliffe of Sidaways Accountants and Victoria Friedlander Divisional Director at RBC Brewin Dolphin who each gave an informal take on the recent budget.

Neal Bertram, Director said: “The reaction to Julia’s appointment in January this year was hugely positive which is borne out by the high attendance at our first property launch.   There is clearly an appetite for our refreshing and client focused approach”.

Julia concludes: “It was a very positive event with everyone enjoying networking, and there was a real buzz in the room.  We’ve received great feedback and will be looking to host more events in the future across our specialist areas of law.”
