Employees at businesses across Exeter are limbering up ready to take part in the 2023Exeter Bigwave Business Games.

More than 25 businesses in Exeter will compete against each other in the series of events that make
up the Games, testing both their physical and mental abilities.

The Exeter Games, which are sponsored by Nexus OS, consist of six events, starting at Clip’n’Climb
on Friday, 19th May and culminating with Bell Boat Racing at Exeter’s Quay on Friday, 7th July. Other
events include a Mini Olympics, a Pub Quiz, Treasure Hunt and a Golf Challenge, aiming to enable
local professionals to network in a fun and informal setting.

This will be the first time the Bigwave Business Games have run since 2019, following a forced break
during the pandemic, and as well as Exeter, teams are being assembled in Torbay and Plymouth.
Additionally, teams are encouraged to raise money for the nominated charity, Hospiscare. The
Games have been running for more than a decade, and in its time have raised over £38,000 for the
local charities.

Debbi Moore, Client Partnership Manager and Exeter Bigwave Business Games organiser said:
“The Bigwave team are really excited to bring the Bigwave Business Games back this year and we are
looking forward to seeing the teams from other local organisations having a great time at the events.
“The Games are great opportunity to strengthen relationships between businesses across the city
and work together to raise the profile of some of the brilliant venues and facilities on offer to us in

“It’s also great to be working with Nexus OS and raising money for Hospiscare, a charity which is
close to the hearts of some of the businesses taking part, and assists the communities we live in.”
