The Mortgage Quarter’s family fun day last weekend was a huge success raising £3,313 for Exeter Leukaemia Fund and the RD&E Charity! After a day of non-stop rain, the sun shone brightly, and a fantastic afternoon was had by all.

There was plenty of fun for all the family, including a bouncy castle, face painting, kid’s football, family games, artisan stalls and a live band – The Wave Collective. There were also hot and cold refreshments and a prize raffle with prizes donated by Exeter’s local business community.

Event organiser, James Miles of The Mortgage Quarter, said: “We were delighted to see so many families come and support our first charity fun day. We’d like to thank everyone who donated prizes, volunteered, booked a trade stand, and joined the fun.

“We plan to make this an annual event, so if you missed out this year, we’ll be back bigger and better in 2024!”

The Mortgage Quarter’s latest fundraising efforts bring this year’s amount raised for charity to over £13,500. In September last year, the team completed a tandem skydive and hosted a charity quiz night with a prize auction raising £2,425 for the RD&E Starfish Appeal. And in December, its annual Christmas gift appeal generated approximately £8,000 worth of brand-new toys and gifts, which went to seven Exeter-based charities.
