Exeter marketing agency announces partnership with local sexual violence charity

Exeter-based positive impact marketing agency Program has announced their partnership with First Light, a leading charity providing support for those affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence.

Program will work with First Light to provide free brand, PR, and marketing services throughout 2024, with the aim of increasing the reach and impact of their vital services. Providing essential services across the South West, First Light offers critical support to anyone affected by domestic abuse or sexual violence. The charity helps people of all ages and genders, including people with a disability and members of the LGBTQ+ community.

Caroline Orr, Marketing Director at Program, said: “As a team deeply committed to positive impact, we are thrilled to be partnering with First Light. This is an incredibly important issue which we want to help tackle, and we look forward to contributing to the important work that First Light does for our communities.”

Program partnered with First Light as their Charity of the Year to continue the agency’s support for women and girls in their community, after the success of their Safer Exeter campaign, launched in February 2023.

The campaign encouraged people in Exeter to intervene safely if they see harassment in a public space, and promoted free bystander intervention training, led by the Safer Exeter Partnership.

Lyn Gooding, CEO at First Light, said: “We are immensely thankful to Program for their support. Together, we are building a future free from domestic abuse and sexual violence, ensuring every voice is heard and that our communities thrive in safety. This collaboration is more than just working together, it’s about making a real difference in tackling a crucial issue.”
