Autumn Budget Webinar 2021 with Bishop Fleming

28 October 2021 @ 9:30 am 10:30 am

Join Bishop Fleming for their upcoming Autumn Budget 2021 webinar, where their panel of tax experts will be analysing the announcements and commenting on how these may affect you.

On Wednesday 27 October, Rishi Sunak sets out his Autumn Budget and Spending Review against a backdrop of unprecedented economic disruption caused by the pandemic and record-breaking public debt, as well as growing concerns over rising inflation and interest rates.

We already know about the 1.25% tax hike in National Insurance and dividends tax from next April, so what other unwelcome news may the Chancellor unveil? Will there be time to prepare for any new tax hits, or will they take effect from Budget Day?

There was much talk in 2020 of the Chancellor increasing Capital Gains Tax. Will he revisit this in the Budget? Will he consider a one-off wealth tax to help pay for the pandemic, or something more long term?

Now would be the time for the government to get any unpopular policies onto the statute book well before the next election.

Will the Chancellor also look to encourage greater investment and productivity through tax reliefs, building on the existing Super Deduction, Freeports, and R&D tax measures? What will he do about the long-overdue business rates reform?

There will be the opportunity to ask panel questions via an interactive Q&A facility.

Check in on Bishop Fleming’s website on the day of the budget to follow their Live Budget Blog or sign up for the webinar by clicking on the button below to hear from their panel of experts on how the announcements may impact you.
