For this second online Strategy Breakfast Session on Tuesday 27th July, we are focussing on ‘Culture in the City’.
We are delighted to welcome Camilla Hampshire, Museums Manager & Cultural Lead of RAMM (Royal Albert Memorial Museum), Dom Jinks, Director of Exeter Culture and Daniel Buckroyd, Artistic Director and Chief Executive of Exeter Northcott Theatre as the speakers for this breakfast session.
Camilla, Dom and Daniel are at the forefront of developing a rich and thriving cultural offerings for our city, with their organisations directly influencing and benefiting those who live, work and visit Exeter. The three cultural leaders will share their plans to bring people back together to enjoy the arts in Exeter, and the talks will include more info about Exeter’s status as a UNESCO City of Literature.
RAMM’s vision is to enhance people’s quality of life. It’s a place of discovery which encourages everyone to be curious and using its local and global collections to connect people to the world and inspire them to shape a better future.
Exeter Culture’s overarching aim is to attract and retain creative talent. Exeter Culture contributes to a rich and growing creative ecosystem – learning to carry our city forward together, by sharing our ideas and skills across art forms and disciplines. They aim to embed arts and culture in all aspects of life, by ensuring they are integrated within the city’s broader strategic planning through the implementation of a new place-based Cultural Strategy.
The Exeter Northcott Theatre works with artists and communities so that people can tell their stories no matter who they are or where they’ve come from. They make events that entertain, provoke, and inspire so that people can connect and share moments they’ll never forget.
Hosted by Clodagh Murphy, Exeter Chamber of Commerce Chair, attendance is limited to 15 people on a first come, first served basis. This is a virtual meeting and will be held via Zoom.
