St Nicholas Priory

St Nicholas Priory, founded in 1087, is Exeter’s oldest building. It’s steeped in history and offers a unique and inspiring venue for any kind of meeting. It is open to the public every Sunday and Monday, and available for hire for private tours, meetings, conferences, workshops – you can even get married there.

The Priory is conveniently located in the heart of the city on Mint Lane with walking access from Fore Street or Bartholomew Street West. Mary Arches Car Park is a 5 minute walk, or for those travelling by pubic transport, Exeter Central Station is just a 10 minute walk. The coach station is a 15 minute walk with many buses stopping on the High Street.

There are two meetings spaces within the Priory, one in the West Wing and a dedicated meeting room in the North Wing at No. 21 The Mint. Both are ideal for small conferences, meetings, workshops and training sessions. The rooms have capacity for 12-60 people depending on the layout – lecture, boardroom or cabaret style.

In addition, the peaceful garden provides a space for activities, a quiet space to meditate under the magnificent magnolia tree or just an area to stretch your legs and get a breath of fresh air.
